Collaborative Project 2: Weekly YearbookThe yearbook is a beloved tradition in schools, capturing the moments that made the year special.
One of the primary functions of a yearbook is to serve as a history book. For more than a century, yearbooks have remained the only historical document of the people and events from each given school year. A yearbook is so much more than a book. It’s a picture book, capturing the action and reaction of the year through photographs. It’s a history book, chronicling significant moments, events and competitions. It’s a reference book, providing a record of students, scores, notable accomplishments and historical changes. And it’s a memory book, recreating the experience of attending your school in words and pictures. |
Task:
Create your own "week"book, depicting one week out of your high school experience.
• You will be responsible for documenting your in photographs. Aim to capture 5-15 high quality photographs per day.
• The photographs should tell the story of your week in the context of your high school experience. All photographs should be captured during school or at school events.
You may choose to create a "zine" or exhibit your "weekbook" in any other creative way. Consider the final display to be equally important in telling the story of your week's experience as the photos within.
Tarea:
